Paul Lapeira
" This jersey, I'm going to hang it on the wall "
"I'm going to hang this jersey on my wall. Breaking away was part of the plan this morning at the start of the stage. I have good speed, so I knew I would be able to fight for the best climber's jersey. I knew the guys who were with me at the front well, especially Thomas Champion, who also lives in Chambéry (Savoie). I quickly realized that it could work and I did everything I could to cross the two lines in the lead. I'm very happy. A distinctive jersey for my first Grand tour, it's wonderful! I'm going to enjoy it to the fullest. These are things that don't happen often in a career."
