Greg Van Avermaet: "A very positive result
"The result of the week is very positive. I had good feelings in the most difficult moments and I am on the podium of the general classification, it is a good result.
I had a puncture with a few kilometers to go today so it was a stressful moment but the team worked well to get me back to the front.
It was a difficult finish so I wanted to sprint and I got another top 5. Despite the puncture, I think we couldn't do better today. The final circuit was difficult but not enough to make any difference.
This is another great performance after my fifth place in Tour Wallonie and top 10 finish in the Franco-Belgian Circuit (9th).
I will now continue this busy schedule of competitions in Germany with the Bemer Cyclassics (August 21) and the Deutschland Tour August 24-28). This is a very important period before the two big events coming up: the Grands Prix de Québec and Montréal (September 9 and 11).

Greg Van Avermaet finished fifth in the fourth stage of Tour Limousin.
With his third place in the final general classification, he has made it onto the podium of a stage race for the first time since the Tour Wallonie in 2020, where he took second place.
Benoît Cosnefroy took sixth place in the final general classification of this Tour Limousin.

The 77th edition of the Vuelta Espana kicks off this Friday in Utrecht (Netherlands).
