“It’s incredible. This Tour France is wonderfully tough. Today was no exception, but that’s what I love about it. I’ve trained hard, and the whole team has worked incredibly hard to achieve this result. Today, everyone did a superb job and took care of me, just as they have every day for the past two weeks. It’s a real pleasure to have this white jersey and to be in contention for the podium. It gives me a lot of confidence for what’s ahead, but the Tour still long and there’s a lot left to do, starting with tomorrow’s beautiful stage on the Plateau de Solaison, where I hope to do just as well as I did today.”
