"I'm very satisfied with this result, even though I finished two seconds off the podium, just behind the European time trial champion (Edoardo Affini). The feeling was very good, on a nice time trial that suited me really well. I heard a lot of cheering and it carried me all the way, and I even went off a bit fast in the first two kilometers because I was so encouraged. It was a really good moment, running in the blue-white-red jersey, which is even more motivating. This result shows that I'm feeling good. With the team, we're going to keep on attacking and taking part in the race, because the aim is always to win a stage."
