Michael Schär: "We rode in a beautiful harmony".

"I'm delighted with this prize. The three other riders the breakaway also deserved it because we rode in perfect harmony and we all worked hard. Perhaps if the fifth rider stayed with us, we could have gone further and fought for the win, because we were only caught five kilometers from the finish line. After our misfortunes on the first stage, I hope this will put the whole team back on track and that we will continue to make a name for ourselves."[/su_quote]

The news

Bob Jungels operated on

Bob Jungels underwent two surgeries on his lower limbs last week to treat the external iliac endofibrosis that prevented him from competing in the Tour France. "It's always a shame to be at home and not competing, but I'm glad we've identified the reason for the problem that has been hampering me for so long. I know I'll be out of action for at least eight weeks and that I'll have to be patient because it will be a long road to recovery. I'm in good spirits and motivated. I'm going to do everything I can to get back to my best and prove that I haven't lost my skills. I'm looking to the future. I'd like to thank Dr. Corten, Dr. Stocks, and Dr. Lauwers, who took care of me, as well as the AG2R Citroën team staff," said Bob Jungels.
