“Sometimes you just have to believe in it”

“I really didn’t expect a comeback like that, but sometimes you just have to believe in yourself. I want to thank the team, who believed in me to get a result here. My teammates did a great job all day. After all these months, it feels really good to be back and winning again. The pace was fast throughout the stage, and everyone was expecting a sprint finish. We knew the final turn would be crucial, so we had a positioning strategy with the team. Once I saw the finish line, I knew I just had to launch my sprint and give it everything I had. Today, it wasn’t really about winning. I mostly just wanted to have fun and get back to doing what I love most after such a long time without racing. We still rode flat out, and I’m happy that it’s already turned into a win.”
