DORIAN GODON: “Happy to raise my arms”

"After two prologue victories (Boucles de la Mayenne 2018-2019), I am delighted to raise my arms in victory for the first time as a professional. I've been feeling good for a few weeks now, but whether it was at the Tour Poitou-Charentes or the Grand Prix d'Isbergues, the courses weren't selective enough to make a difference and avoid a bunch sprint. Today, it was a great battle that started fifty kilometers from the finish to catch up with the breakaway. Ten kilometers from the finish, on the last climb, the two of us managed to break away. And I never worried about the peloton. This victory is a morale booster before the Flèche Wallonne (September 30) and Liège-Bastogne-Liège (October 4)."

Andrea Vendrame took 4th place in the race, 8'' behind Dorian Godon[/su_quote].
