“On this new final circuit, we weren’t quite sure how it would play out, since it was ripe for attacks. The last tour was really fast and difficult; we had to stay in a good position the whole time to have any hope of a bunch sprint. We managed to do that as a team, and I think we controlled the race very well all day. I want to thank my teammates, who once again believed in me and helped me secure the victory. I felt even more confident thanks to the results I’ve had this week and my first professional victory on Tuesday. On a finish like this, I knew I could be the strongest rider today.”
