My victories in the Tour Alps and then the Giro given Giro a lot of confidence, of course, but I feel that I have improved physically. My role within the team has also evolved; I am listened to more, which is positive. Today, I knew we had to ride fast to go for the win, so I insisted that we make the breakaway, which would allow us to play to our strengths because we have very good riders. Thanks to the team's work, Sander managed to get ahead, which allowed us to set a fast pace for the others and put me in the best possible position at the start of the final climbs.
