"I'm happy with this podium. After my fifth place in my comeback race at the Classica Comunitat Valenciana (January 22), this is another good result for me and for the team.
We were well represented in the final and the guys worked well. I started my sprint a bit early but with the wind in front I was afraid that the guys behind me would come with more speed.
It proves that the form is there. I didn't expect to perform so well at the beginning of the season. I changed my way of training and it is bearing fruit. However, I know that I can still improve, so this is only a positive sign.
The goal will be to quickly raise my arms in victory, and why not as early as the Tour (February 11-15). Two stages suit my strengths.

Julien Duval, assistant sports administrator for the AG2R CITROËN team
Julien Duval, former professional rider with the AG2R CITROËN team from 2017 to 2021, has joined the team's staff as deputy sports administrator.
He is in charge of organizing the logistics of the races (hotel reservations, transportation plan, etc.) in collaboration with Gilles Mas, the sports administration manager.
