Nicolas Prodhomme

"It's the perfect season

"We knew the race layout well, and we knew it was better to be a step ahead. There was a lot of action, which worked in our favor. We managed the pace to our advantage, thanks in particular to the work of Paul (Lapeira), who had already lifted his arms here last year and who enabled us to anticipate race movements well and to be present during the first breakaway. Eventually the peloton regrouped and when a breakaway formed again in the final stretch, I was able to take my chance again, this time to victory. I'm very happy to be able to put the team's hard work into practice. My parents and relatives live in the region, they made the trip and it's a pleasure to raise my arms in front of them. I'm having a dream season.
