After Léo Bisiaux's first professional victory in the Vuelta Burgos this afternoon, Nicolas Prodhomme won the Tour l'Ain at the end of the day. Both riders leaders in the overall classification of their respective races.
Léo Bisiaux – Vuelta Burgos
"It's a great first win, I'm really happy".
"It was a good day on the bike, the team did a great job to put me in the best possible position. In the final riders four riders broke away riders I took advantage of the fact that the others were watching each other to attack 700 meters from the finish line. I tried to break away immediately and when I looked back, I saw that I had gained a lead and that I had to give it my all. It's great to reward the team with this victory. There are now two stages left to bring the leader's jersey home. Tomorrow's stage should be easier, everything will be decided on Saturday's summit finish."
Nicolas Prodhomme – Tour l'Ain
"We're running in a very good frame of mind".
"We came here with big ambitions this week. We said to ourselves that today we could try something. With no bonuses and yesterday's result, it was up to the Visma Lease a Bike team to take risks, and all I had to do was react. I followed the attacks right up to the finish, where I was able to seize the opportunity to win the sprint. I'm happy to be the leader, we've got a great team with a great spirit. We're going to give it our all to defend this jersey tomorrow and bring home another overall victory."
