"A day of dreams".
"I'm really happy, my legs were on form. It's quite rare that I get to compete in my national championship, as it often clashes with big races like the Tour Suisse. The course was fairly flat, as is often the case in Finland, but with a small hill at the end. The plan was to break away on that final hill, 30 kilometers from the finish, to avoid a sprint finish. That's what I managed to do by going solo and managing the gap with the fastest riders in the final. I'm so happy to have had the chance to compete in this race, and with the jersey at the finish, it's been a dream day."
