"This is my first victory in the Giro and my first with AG2R CITROËN TEAM, it's just incredible. I'm Italian, I'm winning on my Tour , it's the greatest day of my career.
The first goal of the day was to get as many points as possible for Geoffrey in the mountain classification. And we succeeded. In the final stretch, I wanted to anticipate and make a selection. I saw that I could win. When I attacked, Geoffrey was talking to me on the radio, encouraging me. This victory is also for him. Another Giro , we have won and now we will do everything we can to do it again."

Bouchard is collecting
Sixth in the stage (his best performance this season and in the UCI World Tour), Geoffrey Bouchard increased his lead in the mountains classification. Before the thirteenth stage, which is relatively easy, he now has 96 points.
