"It was a great race. The team's strategy was perfectly executed, which enabled us to be well placed at the bottom of the last climb. Victor (Lafay) and I were able to make our climb in very good conditions thanks to superb teamwork. I was in good form today and felt good when I attacked. I gave it my all and I'm satisfied with the way I managed my effort in the finish. I wasn't sure about my physical condition, so I'm happy with the result. Even if I would have liked to win, it bodes well for the rest of the weekend."

Well placed during Thursday's second stage, Clément Berthet managed to take second place in the overall classification of the Vuelta Andalucia, which he retains at the end of the third stage. In a sprint finish, Oliver Naesen took fifth place in the stage.
