BOB JUNGELS: “It’s incredible.”

"It's incredible! I don't know what to say. Winning a stage in the Tour France was a dream after these last few years of hardship. I'm very happy for myself but also for the team. I know it means a lot to them.
The last few kilometers were very long, but I knew that victory was close and that I had to stay focused. I won after a solo effort, which is what I prefer. Today I took every risk and it paid off. I am very grateful to the AG2R CITROËN team and to everyone who believed in me over the last few months. I am getting back to my best and it feels great."

VINCENT LAVENU: “An immense joy”

"It's a huge joy after such a difficult start to Tour France with the misfortunes of Ben O'Connor and Geoffrey Bouchard. Bob is a great champion and he raced as only he knows how. Over the past few months, he has regained his usual form. We needed this to boost the whole team and validate the work of all our staff and partners. This is the 21st victory for the AG2R CITROËN team in the Tour France, and these are always exceptional moments to experience with great emotion. We must appreciate them and enjoy them. This victory, after a solo breakaway of more than 60 kilometers, will go down in the team's history."
