The team was incredible today, and I want to thank all my teammates for their hard work. Paul Lapeira’s planned attack in the final stretch put me in the perfect position for the sprint, since I was able to stay on the wheels of our opponents and launch my effort from the slipstream. Romain Grégoire was really strong, but I managed to pass him in the final meters—it came down to mental toughness. Winning is always difficult and requires confidence. I believed in my abilities and felt really good. The conditions were perfect, and I’m very happy to have won.”
