Vincent Lavenu
"Two riders are writing the history of our team"
"I am very happy and proud to see Benoît Cosnefroy and Nans Peters extend their contracts with our AG2R CITROËN team for the next two seasons. These are two riders grew up in our program before blossoming as professionals and becoming internationally riders . Benoît and Nans are young men who are writing the history of our team with their achievements, but also with their attachment to our Alpine roots.
We know that Benoît is a rider . His punching power has enabled him to win some very big races, and I am convinced that he will continue to add to his list of achievements over the next two seasons. It was very important for us to see him continue the adventure with us.
For his part, Nans is a rider whose experience is very valuable to our team. He is a rider perfectly embodies the team's values thanks to his selflessness and willingness to sacrifice himself for his leaders. He is also a courageous and brilliant individual capable of winning great races when the opportunity arises.
The extension of these two riders very well for our team in the coming seasons."
Benoît Cosnefroy
"The ambitious project convinced me".
"The ambitious project presented by Vincent Lavenu and the coaching staff for the coming seasons has convinced me to continue the adventure. I'm about to enter the best years of my career, and I'll certainly be keen to shine for the AG2R CITROËN team.
Our training will be as ambitious as ever, and I want to continue to be part of this collective. Since I joined AG2R CITROËN in 2017, I've found my true bearings. The repeated expressions of confidence over the years have enabled me to win some great races. The story isn't over yet, and I'm convinced that we still have the best to write together."
Nans Peters
"Proud to continue making history
"I'm delighted to be joining the AG2R CITROËN team for the next two seasons. It's a very exciting project and I was obviously keen to be part of it.
Since the junior ranks, the team's history has endured. Naturally, I'm very attached to its history and very proud to continue writing it. Over the seasons, my role has evolved, and I'm as enthusiastic as ever about achieving the goals set by the team. I've found my balance by putting myself at the service of my leaders in the mountains, while also having the opportunity to play my personal card from time to time."
