Marc Sarreau: «Very pleased to confirm»
«It was a fairly quiet day. We controlled the entire stage with the Trek-Segafredo team. On the final climb, a group of strong riders broke away, then the lads did a great job to catch up and get me into position for the final kilometre. All I had to do was finish it off.
I am very happy to confirm and impose myself once again on this Tour Poitou-Charentes. It feels good for everyone. We have a very good group here and that makes a big difference. The work of my teammates throughout the day gives me confidence and I can express my potential in the final sprint. It's great when everything goes well like this.
The overall classification will be too difficult for me, even with the bonus points. In a 20-kilometre time trial, I can't compete with the specialists. However, there are still two stages left to try and secure another victory.

La Vuelta a Espana (Stage 5): Jaakko Hänninen in the breakaway of the day
Jaakko Hänninen was in the breakaway of the day before crashing. He finished in the peloton of favourites during this fifth stage of the Vuelta a Espana.
«I was in the right breakaway that fought for the final victory. I don't know exactly what happened when I fell, but a rider hit my rear wheel and I fell in a roundabout. I finished with the peloton, and we'll see in the next few days how I recover from this fall,» said Jaakko Hänninen.
«A feeling of frustration prevails today. We had identified this stage as important, with a strong probability that the breakaway would fight for victory. Jaakko Hänninen, one of our best riders, was there. Unfortunately, an unexpected incident during the race, with Jaakko's fall, disrupted the day's scenario for the AG2R CITROËN team. It's a disappointment for the rider, who is in an interesting phase with very good legs,» said Julien Jurdie, sports director.
