Felix Gall
«Everything went like a dream.»
«I'm on cloud nine. Winning my first professional victory on a stage of the Tour de Suisse, with the leader's jersey on my shoulders to boot, is just incredible. I feel great right now. My legs are in the best shape they've ever been, so I wanted to take advantage of that by taking risks to distance myself from the other leaders. I didn't want to wait in the peloton! The whole team did an incredible job to put me in the best position before my attack 20 kilometres from the finish with Mikael (Cherel). He did an incredible job. Then, everything went like a dream when he had finished his work. In my earpiece, Cyril (Dessel) told me not to let up as I continued to extend my lead. I stayed focused until the last few metres before realising that I was going to win on my own. I can't believe it. It's going to take me a while to realise what just happened!
I now have the yellow jersey and I want to keep it for as long as possible. It won't be easy with the final time trial on Sunday. To keep up this momentum, I need to maintain the same daring mindset. If I feel I can attack, especially tomorrow on stage 5, I won't hold back! I don't want to stop there.»
”The entire team has done an incredible job!
