Bob Jungels undergoes surgery
Bob Jungels underwent two surgical procedures on his lower limbs last week to treat the external iliac endofibrosis that prevented him from competing in the Tour de France. «It's always a shame to be at home and not competing, but I'm glad we've identified the reason for the problem that has been hampering me for so long. I know I'll be out of action for at least eight weeks and that I'll have to be patient because it will be a long road to recovery. I'm in good spirits and motivated. I'm going to do everything I can to get back to my best and prove that I haven't lost my skills. I'm looking to the future. I'd like to thank Dr Corten, Dr Stocks and Dr Lauwers who took care of me, as well as the AG2R Citroën team staff,» said Bob Jungels.
