Sam Bennett

« It's good for confidence »

«I'm pretty happy to be on the podium, it's good for confidence, even though the goal is always to win. The guys did a fantastic job, they have the experience: we moved up to the front of the race quite early and it was the right decision because the road was almost blocked from 30-40 kilometres to the finish. We worked well together and were able to maintain our position, making the race fairly smooth and less stressful. The finish was quite chaotic and we weren't able to do the traditional sprint launch, but in the end it was a great team effort.»

Alex Baudin still in yellow in Limousin

The DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE team managed the queen stage of the Tour du Limousin-Périgord – Nouvelle well, with leader Alex Baudin finishing in the same group as stage winner Jefferson Cepeda, alongside Andrea Vendrame: « My teammates did a tremendous job again today, riding all day long and then helping me control the attacks. Unfortunately, we couldn't control the last one, but the important thing is that we kept the yellow jersey on the eve of the finish. »
