Paul Lapeira
« I already had a plan to attack where I did. »
«After an initial breakaway attempt, I broke away on my own with just over twenty kilometres to go. My plan was to attack where I did, but with one lap to go. As I was feeling good, I didn't want to take any risks and I set off with one and a half laps to go. The group came back really close ten kilometres from the finish, but I believed in myself and gave it everything I had. At the finish, there was also a nice group finish with Valentin (Retailleau) in 7th and Jordan (Labrosse) in 9th. I know the team did a great job to keep me from being caught, and I owe a big part of my victory to them!»
