Marc Sarreau: «Road racing has given me strength»
«It feels good, I'm happy with my race. There were two of us, Alexis (Gougeard) and me, and he was very impressive, he was the strongest. Even though we hadn't agreed on a strategy, we ended up doing a lap together. It was very hot in the velodrome, I wasn't feeling well but I hung on and in the end everyone needed a breather. I haven't done much track cycling lately, so it was difficult to know how to manoeuvre. I managed to get into a good position on the inside, and the road races gave me strength, which is what enabled me to win.»[/su_quote]
