«We rode all day to control the race, and this podium finish is a great result that rewards the work we put in last week in Fourmies, which didn't pay off.
On the final lap, there was a lot of jostling and the whole team worked hard to get me into the ideal position. I found myself in Arnaud Démare's path for a very fast sprint, but I couldn't manage to get past him.
I still have Paris-Chauny, Paris-Bourges and the Tour de Vendée to finish off the season.

This new podium finish is the sixth of the season for Marc Sarreau, including four victories (Cholet-Pays de Loire and three stages of the Tour Poitou Charentes).
