Damien Touzé: «No regrets»
«As expected, it was a very tough and physical race. Geoffrey and I managed to stay at the front. When I saw the riders in the breakaway, I knew we could go a long way. We managed our day well. There are no regrets today, we just came up against a stronger team. I was struggling on the penultimate climb, Geoffrey did a tremendous job. He waited for me so that we could both finish together. This is my second medal in a French championship (3rd in 2019), I wanted to bring home the title for the team but I have no regrets.»[/su_quote] [su_quote cite=Vincent Lavenu]
Vincent Lavenu: «The team fought hard.»
«We came here for the title, but we're still leaving happy with Damien's fantastic bronze medal. He was part of the first breakaway and showed that he's a championship contender. The team performed well overall. Damien and Geoffrey Bouchard were key players at the front of the pack who we could count on. Benoît Cosnefroy was very aggressive, but didn't manage to get back in. Today we saw an AG2R CITROËN team that fought hard and showed solidarity. This podium finish is a reward for that.»[/su_quote]

Oliver Naesen finishes ninth in the Belgian Championships. «We had an intense and long day, as always in a Championship. In the final, the top three broke away, but unfortunately we couldn't keep up with Greg Van Avermaet. The result is a little disappointing, but I finally took ninth place.»
