Ben O'Connor: «Confirmation that I can play with the best»
«I'm very happy with my week. In addition to my stage victory, it confirms that I can compete with the best in the general classification in a UCI World Tour race.
Wearing the leader's jersey for a day was a great experience for me and the team. The lads were on top form. For my part, I'll remember that I need to be calmer next time.
Of course, I was sad to lose the jersey after the stage, but I have no regrets. We gave it our all every day and this is the best result we could have achieved.
I am now turning my attention to the Tour de Romandie. After pulling out of Paris-Nice, I am keen to achieve a great result in this race and the ones that follow. I am out for revenge.

The information
Gent-Wevelgem: Greg Van Avermaet 17th
Greg Van Avermaet finishes 17th in Gent-Wevelgem.
«It was a tactical race. I'm happy to have played at the front today. I was only ten metres short of catching up with the group that was fighting for the win. I'm a little disappointed, but that's how it goes. There are two races left next week to get a result in these Flemish classics,» said Greg Van Avermaet.
