After stage 19 of La Vuelta a Espana, Geoffrey Bouchard is 15th in the general classification. Clément Champoussin is 17th. Clément Venturini finished 18th, Damien Touzé was in the breakaway. «It was important to get riders up front. The pace was very fast all day. The breakaway had to work hard and the best riders held off the peloton. We knew it would be tough, but we fell just short at the end. This shows once again that there are opportunities to win a stage by getting into the breakaways,» said Didier Jannel, sports director of the AG2R CITROËN team.

Oliver Naesen finishes 10th in stage 5 of the Benelux Tour.
«The goal was not to waste any time. Even though I'm not among the leaders, I know that anything is possible on the last day of the general classification. I was feeling good, so I wanted to make a strong sprint. There was a small breakaway 500 metres from the finish line, which forced me to start from a distance. I had the strength, so that's good. Tomorrow's stage scares me a little, we'll see how it goes. I'm really looking forward to Sunday's stage,» said Olivier Naesen. He is 19th in the general classification, 1’02’’ behind the leader, Stefan Küng.
