«This is my second French time trial championship title in the professional category, and it's really nice to be able to wear this beautiful jersey again. I've often lost by a few seconds, and for once, it's in my favour. This victory also proves my current form after my good time at the Critérium du Dauphiné. I hope that in the future, this will prove that I can achieve good results in major competitions. I may have started a little too fast, but my legs were turning well at the beginning, so I didn't want to slow down because I knew the finish would be tough for everyone and that it would be a mental battle. It's great to have a team around me that trusts me and gives me the means to perform well in time trials.»
