Oliver Naesen: «At home»

«Today, I was at home on my training routes. I also ride regularly with Greg (Van Avermaet) and Laurens (De plus) when I'm at home. I'm really happy to win this last stage. With 25 kilometres to go, I saw that the peloton was going to break up and that it would be between the leaders. This is my fifth victory as a professional and my fourth in August. I think that at this time of year, some of the peloton are starting to get tired, but I'm still very motivated. This year, I came out of the Tour de France in good shape, and I'm taking advantage of that at the moment. Now I'm focusing on the one-day races in Hamburg, Plouay and Canada. I'm in first place in the world rankings for one-day races and I'd like to try to keep that position. I know I'm not the best in the world, but this ranking rewards consistency and I'm proud of that.” Oliver Naesen finished second overall in the Binbanck Tour, his second podium finish in the event after his second place in 2016.

Benoît Cosnefroy: «I remained focused after the Tour de France»

«After Paris-Camembert, this is my second victory this season in my region!
As expected, we had a fast-paced race. I was part of a group at
70 kilometres from the finish line, we managed to pull ahead about 20 kilometres before the end of the race.
In the final, Damien Touzé scared me, I knew he was fast in the sprint. I experienced my first Tour de France in July and sometimes had difficult days. Despite everything, I didn't come out of the three weeks of racing mentally exhausted. I managed to stay focused while allowing myself a few days off. This victory is really good for my morale. Next week, I'll be at the start of the Tour du Limousin, and I hope to continue enjoying myself and taking advantage of my good form.”[/su_quote]

Aurélien Paret-Peintre finished fifth in this Polynormande race.
