«The race started a little earlier than we had imagined. I was in a bad position at that point and had to move up about a hundred places and close several gaps. That's when I felt that I was strong and that there was something to be done. We had another great team effort: Bastien got me off to a good start, he made the race tougher just as I accelerated on the penultimate lap, it was perfect. Four of us broke away and then caught up with the leaders. I thought I was the slowest of our group of seven and I finished second, so I'm satisfied. I timed my sprint well and I'm happy with my form.»
