Alex Baudin
« I didn't expect to be able to play a place in the top 10. »
«I'm very happy, and quite surprised too. I didn't expect to be able to fight for a place in the top 10 in such a great race. I felt better and better as the stages went by, and I got stronger and stronger. Yesterday I felt really good too, and today the team really helped Bruno (Armirail) and me to get into a good position. I was in the best position at the foot of each climb thanks to my teammates, and I was able to make some great ascents. I'm really reaching peak form. It gives me confidence, I know I'm capable of doing great things in the mountains.»
”Satisfaction prevails
Cyril Dessel
«Satisfaction prevails. We arrived at the Tour of the Basque Country with the goals of finishing in the top 10 overall and winning a stage because there was a very strong field in this race. At the beginning, we experienced highs and lows: the low with Felix Gall's crash, which eliminated him from the race in the general classification, then quickly the high with Paul Lapeira's magnificent victory. This made us change our strategy for the general classification, and Alex Baudin seized the opportunity. He rode a great race today to finish in the top 10.»
