Benoît Cosnefroy

«Winning here is very symbolic for me.»

«The years go by, and no two are alike. I had been going through a difficult period for eight months, and I must admit that now, all the emotions are coming back, and I am happy. I never doubted that I could return to my best level, but winning here is very symbolic for me; it's something special. I would like to thank the whole team. I was patient in the final because it was quite disorganised, but I never doubted myself: when I launched my sprint, I was able to draft behind Clément (Venturini), then overtake him to win. I worked very hard to come back after my injury, and given all the work I put in, I knew it would pay off in the end.»
