«It was a great race. There was a lot of pace and adversity in the final climb. Clément (Berthet) rode very well by breaking away, and the team positioned me well in the final climb. Then I knew I was one of the fastest in the sprint, and Jordan (Labrosse) did a superb job in the final to set me up for it, but I didn't manage to launch myself at the right moment and finished in second place. Victory was very close, and this is only my first race of the season, so it's encouraging.»
