«It was one of my best days in the Giro. The climb was difficult, with fast riding right from the foot of the second climb. Ben (O'Connor) and I tried to manage the climb, keeping Tiberi's group in our sights. I was fairly confident, even though the pace was high, because I knew we would be able to catch up on the descent. In the final, it was a bit tactical and the others were watching each other, so I told myself I had to go for it, and I did well, taking second place at the finish! I'm really happy with my day, how I felt, and the level I'm at today.»

Killian Verschuren still leads the Alpes Isère Tour
It was a great day for Killian Verschuren, who retained his lead in the overall classification of the Alpes Isère Tour. Newgen also performed well in the national team with two victories. Rasmus Søjberg Pedersen rode for Denmark in the Herning GP, and Paul Seixas won the third stage of the Tour du Pays de Vaud with the French team.
