Felix Gall
«There is a great dynamic.»
«I'm very happy with my form. I knew I was in good shape after the altitude training camp in Sierra Nevada, but it's always good to confirm that in a race. Today's climb wasn't the most difficult of the week, so we weren't expecting any big gaps. We managed it well, the team was very committed and there's a great dynamic. I tried to attack 1,500 metres from the finish, but the slope wasn't steep enough. So I focused on the sprint and took third place. I can't wait for Sunday, as that climb suits me better.»

Paul Seixas in the top 10
After working at the front to launch Felix Gall's attack, Paul dropped back to the rear of the peloton and finished with the favourites at the summit of Jebel Jais. It was a fine performance that saw him take tenth place on the day's stage, a first in the WorldTour.

The figure
Like Clément Berthet's position in the first stage of the Vuelta a Andalucia – Ruta del Sol. The final stretch of this steep stage allowed a group of three riders to break away in the lead. Thanks to some great teamwork, we were able to limit the gap to around thirty seconds and enable Clément to take fifth place.
