Bastien Tronchon

«This finish line photo is more beautiful with two people in it.»

«It was a crazy day. I could tell right away that I was feeling great, with renewed energy after the Ardennes races. My goal was to anticipate the final stretch, find a good group and not get too caught up in the race, which is what I managed to do. I found myself a bit alone at the front at times, but I always stayed calm despite the ups and downs of the race. We were able to capitalise on the good results from the weekend by revising our goals upwards and deciding to aim for victory during the pre-race briefing. Pierre (Gautherat) and I also showed that the team was really strong by taking the top two places on the podium. I'm really happy to have achieved this double with him. We managed to pull away in the final stages, and this finish line photo is even better with the two of us in it.»

The figure

Like the number of double wins in three days of racing on the roads of Brittany. After Aubin Sparfel and Bastien Tronchon's double win in the Tour du Finistère, Pierre Gautherat's second place in the Tro Bro Leon secured another double win and brought the weekend in Brittany to a perfect close.
