Dorian Godon

“A perfect day for the team and for me”

«I had had my sights set on this race for some time. Seeing my teammate Paul Lapeira wear this jersey all year long made me dream. From the start of the day, I knew I could achieve a great result and ensure that the title remained with the team. At the finish, we rode the perfect race. My teammates led me perfectly and I couldn't miss it. The crowd carried me in the final stretch. It was crazy. It's a crowning achievement for all of us and it feels great. I always try to enjoy myself on the bike and have fun. Sometimes you suffer, but when you have days like today, it's worth it. I'm going to rest a bit now before I can enjoy this beautiful jersey and honour it in the race.”
