Paul Seixas

«I am proud of what we have achieved today.»

«I really enjoyed this race. It was very intense, our opponents set a fast pace throughout the race and we had to work hard on every climb to be well positioned at the top and descend in good conditions. My teammates did a lot to help me throughout the day. I couldn't catch up with the riders in front of me on my own and I was caught up by a small group, but I gave it my all right to the finish line to secure seventh place. A top 10 finish in my first Monument is already a very good result. In recent weeks, I've taken a step forward both physically and mentally. I proved to myself that I belong here. All the hard work throughout the season has paid off, and I'm happy to finish on a high note.»

«The finish really suited me well.»

«This is my second victory this week. The finish suited me really well, with that uphill sprint. I tried to save my energy all day and stay calm so I could be at the front in the final. Noa Isidore did a superb job of getting me into the perfect position before the descent. I stayed in the slipstream for a bit before launching my sprint, because there was a headwind, and it worked out well for me. I'm going to try to recover well before Paris-Tours, because it's a great race and I feel like I'm in good shape.»
