Vincent Lavenu

«Two runners who are writing the history of our team»

«I am very happy and proud to see Benoît Cosnefroy and Nans Peters extend their contracts with our AG2R CITROËN team for the next two seasons. These are two riders who grew up in our programme before blossoming as professionals and becoming internationally renowned riders. Benoît and Nans are young men who are writing the history of our team with their achievements, but also with their attachment to our Alpine roots.
We know that Benoît is a talented rider. His punchy qualities have enabled him to win some major races, and I am convinced that he will continue to add to his list of achievements over the next two seasons. It was very important for us to see him continue the adventure with us.
For his part, Nans is a young man whose experience is invaluable to our team. He is a rider who perfectly embodies the team's values thanks to his selflessness and willingness to sacrifice himself for his leaders. He is also a courageous and brilliant individual capable of winning great races when the opportunity arises.
The extension of these two riders bodes very well for our team in the seasons to come.»

Benoît Cosnefroy

«The ambitious project convinced me.»

«The ambitious project presented by Vincent Lavenu and the management team for the coming seasons convinced me to continue the adventure. I am entering the best years of my career and I am determined to shine in the colours of the AG2R CITROËN team.

Our team will always be ambitious, and I want to continue to be at the heart of this collective. Since my arrival in 2017, I have found true role models within AG2R CITROËN. The repeated signs of confidence over all these years have enabled me to win some very big races. The story is not over yet, and I am convinced that the best is yet to come for us together.»

Nans Peters

«Very proud to continue writing history»

«I am very happy to continue the adventure with the AG2R CITROËN team for the next two seasons. The project presented is very exciting and I naturally wanted to be part of it.

Since my junior days, the story has continued with the team. Naturally, I am very attached to its history and very proud to continue writing it. Over the seasons, my role has evolved, and I am still just as enthusiastic about achieving the goals set by the team. I have found my balance by serving my leaders in the mountains while also having the opportunity to play my own card from time to time.»
