After Léo Bisiaux's first professional victory in the Vuelta a Burgos this afternoon, Nicolas Prodhomme won the Tour de l'Ain at the end of the day. Both riders are leaders in the overall classification of their respective races.

Léo Bisiaux – Tour of Burgos

«It's a great first victory, I'm really happy.»

«It was a good day on the bike, the team did a great job to put me in the best possible position. In the final, four of us broke away and I took advantage of the fact that the others were watching each other to attack 700 metres from the line. I tried to pull away straight away and when I looked back, I saw that I had gained a lead and that I had to give it my all. It's great to reward the team with this victory. There are now two stages left to bring the leader's jersey home. Tomorrow's stage should be easier, everything will be decided on Saturday's summit finish.»

Nicolas Prodhomme – Tour de l'Ain

«We're running with a very good attitude.»

«We came here with big ambitions this week. We said to ourselves that today we could try something. Without any bonus points and with yesterday's result, it was up to the Visma Lease a Bike team to take risks and I just had to react. I followed the attacks until the final, where I was able to seize the opportunity to win the sprint. I'm happy to be the leader. We have a great team with a very good spirit. We're going to give it our all to defend this jersey tomorrow and bring home another victory in the general classification.»
